Oregon Coast Engagement Photos | Nicole + DaShawn
We have a huge soft spot for sessions on the coast, and this one did not disappoint! Despite it being their first time having professional photos taken, Nicole and DaShawn were naturals in front of the camera. We met at Samuel H. Boardman state park, at the bottom left hand corner of Oregon. In our (unbiased) opinion, it’s one of the most incredible places on the coast! 😉 This dreamy Oregon coast engagement was amazing and such a great excuse to explore the beautiful coast!
Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor is 12 miles long, running alongside the ocean, with incredible views in every direction.
Each time we visit, we feel like we could spend a lifetime exploring the area. Every single spots feels like a dream location.
The one spot that stands out to us, though, is Cape Ferrelo. A scenic cape at the end of the park, it’s gorgeous and has a certain dreamy stillness to it. It looks like it was transplanted straight out of Ireland.
We met Nicole and Dashawn at a vegan brewery in Brookings called Chetco Brewing. After grabbing some snacks and having a drink together, we hit the road to head to Boardman.
There was a turn out that we had found with a stunning view of a huge rock out in the middle of the ocean. We hopped out of the car, and Nicole and DaShawn stood on top of it. With the sun streaming behind them and nothing but ocean and sky on the horizon, it looked like they were the only two people in the world.

After a few photos there, we drove another five minutes down the road to Cape Ferrelo, where the sun was setting over the water. With the entire cape to ourselves, Nicole and DaShawn shared some very special moments overlooking the ocean and running through the tall grass. They splashed around through the water, and then we finished off their session with them getting snuggly in the ocean.
With great company, an amazing sunset, and miles and miles of gorgeous golden Oregon coast, their photo shoot made for an evening better than we could have ever imagined.
